## A question that organizes learning

El Árbol Azomali describes projects connected with real questions and challenges. Students investigate, connect ideas and communicate their understanding. The result can take different forms; the learning process also matters.

## An illustrative example

An example to explain the approach, not a confirmed school activity: investigating rainwater use might connect observation, measurement, reading and a presentation. Ask which learning goals it addresses and how individual understanding is assessed.

## What to look for

Ask what your child investigated, what changed when new information emerged and how they contributed to the group. Encourage them to explain a decision in their own words. An impressive presentation alone does not establish every participant’s understanding.

## Assessment and academic content

Ask for assessment criteria and examples of connections to reading, writing, mathematics and other subjects. The academic page mentions SEP, Common Core, Pearson and ASC; teachers can explain the actual course structure.

## Supporting at home

Listen to questions and help organize time without doing the project for your child. Ask the teacher what help and materials are appropriate. A conversation about learning can reveal more than looking only at the finished product.
